I'm a journalist, writer, translator and editor based in Berlin, with roots in the UK, Norway and Hungary. I have a BA from the University of Oxford -- where I studied German and Czech, of all things -- and an MA in Newspaper Journalism from City Unversity, London.
I cut my teeth as reporter in Hong Kong, where I broke into a bunch of electronic waste dumps to produce a series of front page exclusives, delved into the eerie world of the Thai Occult, and wrote a lot about dogs, too. Ruff work if you ask me.
Since relocating to Berlin, I've completed a fellowship in media research at the European Journalism Observatory, written about mental health in journalism, and worked in various journalistic and communications capacities. I also adopted a gorgeous pair of rats, did a lot of inner work, and got my deadlift up to 112.5kg.
I've published in the South China Morning Post, Wall Street Journal Customs Studio, CNN, Zeit Germany, and many other outlets. For my porfolio of outbound journalistic work, click here. Custom content clips are available on request.
I'm excited to be launching a new project on substack which I'm hoping you'll subscribe to. I'll be doing what I do best: getting under people's skin on my indefatiguable hunt for great stories and wisdom nuggets.
